New series of portraits for a new book to be published in a few months

I started a new series of portraits with a charcoal background. I shot these kinds of portraits with a white one a few years back. I am constantly looking for new material. I hope these will turn into some great work in the future.

Seventeen Magazine Spread

I shot this photo back in the spring time. We shot on a Sunday for about 4 hours. The girl I shot, was is in high school, she got lost on a hiking trip in eastern Wis, ended up in Michigan the next day. This is her story on the page. I am currently working on a new campaign for the new light rail that is being built on University Ave between Mpls and downtown St. Paul, MN. I have been photographing numerous businesses along the central corridor. These images are used for billboards, buses, and bus stop signage. Here's just some of what I have shot..dback

the last time a published a book was three years ago, I have been shooting new stuff since then, found some time, so I am working on a new series of images of elderly, I thought that it would be great to show some of these different ethnic communities getting involved in recreation, walking and trying to participate even though they are in their 70's and 80's..

I went to Sue's new assisted living home and photographed her in her wheelchair, Sue had a stroke, so her use of hands and legs are limited, she however, has great spirit!. YOu can see from the photos we took..dback

East Coast tour including Amish photos and on the farm

I shot these photos while I was on a road trip to the east coast. I found out a lot about other people when I was traveling. I am going to do this again very soon. I just needed to get away from the same place I was living in and needed some away time.

I shot this for a band who hails from Spain. I shot this image a few years ago for a book I had published. These images were shot with my 6x7 camera..I have two more versions of this coming out in the next few weeks...dback
